About the editorial desk
Norvineta publishes independent assessments of resort accommodation across Panama and Central America. Our work is editorial: we grade properties, publish the score, and show the reasoning. We are not a booking agent and we sell no placement.
We assess in person, against six fixed criteria, and publish the score alongside the single reservation we hold. Nothing is smoothed over for the property's benefit.
Our assessment framework
Every resort in this catalogue is measured against six weighted criteria. The weights never change between properties, which is what allows the scores to be compared across the region.
- 25% — Casino and gaming lounges
- 20% — Accommodation quality
- 20% — Front-of-house service
- 15% — Food and beverage
- 10% — Position and transit
- 10% — Value for money
Editorial independence
Our independence is built into how we operate: no property pays to be listed, none reviews its own assessment before it goes live, and none can have a finding withdrawn.
Links to property websites and booking services are navigational. Any reservation is agreed directly between reader and hotel, with no involvement or benefit on our side.
